BRENTWOOD, Pa.; September 24, 2026 – The Brentwood Borough High School Hall of Fame will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its inaugural induction by adding four graduates and honoring three additional Spartans.
Brentwood High School Hall of Fame weekend is set for October 2-3, highlighted by the HOF Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Salvatore’s in the South Hills.
The Hall of Fame did not induct any new members last year (induction events are held every other year). Last October, all former inductees were invited to return to celebrate 25 years of the Hall of Fame. The first class was inducted in 2001.
The two Class of 2025 inductees are Kevin Kissel ’74 and Mary Beth (Hartner) Nobs ’77 and the members of the Class of 2026 are Ronda R. Henning ’75 and Deacon Peri Jude Radecic ‘78.
Two former members of the Brentwood SD staff will receive the Circle of Excellence Award - Anthony D. Chiappetta and Gary Cramer. The Spirit of Community Award will be presented to Jeff Healy, a 1981 Brentwood HS graduate.
The seven honorees will have a full day of activities on Friday, Oct. 2, which is Brentwood High School Hall of Fame Day. Their day will begin with a welcome breakfast at the high school and then each honoree will visit with students in two classes. The honorees will participate in a panel discussion with Brentwood juniors and seniors and then tour the middle-high school.
The seven honorees will be recognized at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Spartans’ Oct. 2 football game with Monessen in Brentwood Stadium. On Oct. 3, dinner will begin at Salvatore’s at 6 p.m. followed by the induction and awards ceremony.
The Brentwood High School Hall of Fame was established in the spring of 2000 and the inaugural class was inducted in 2001. It is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised primarily of Brentwood alumni and, one ex-officio member who is the high school principal. The Trustees attempt to identify alumni whose work has been distinctive in their field or who have made distinctive contributions to the community.
A commemorative plaque with the names of HOF members is displayed in the annex entrance to the Brentwood Middle-High School. The HOF Induction Banquet and HOF Day at Brentwood High School are biennial events which welcome new alumni as members and provide an opportunity for these distinguished graduates to interact with current BHS students.
In 2012, the Trustees created the Circle of Excellence (COE) award to recognize former Brentwood educators whose leadership and dedication have resulted in widespread esteem and longstanding appreciation among BHS graduates.
The Trustees established the Spirit of Community Award in 2016. This honor recognizes the voluntary contributions of an individual alumnus or group of alumni who have made valuable contributions to the Brentwood community.
Biographies for 2026 Brentwood High School Hall of Fame Inductees and Award Recipients
Ronda R. Henning, Ph.D. - 2026 Inductee
Ronda is a 1975 graduate of Brentwood. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh magna cum laude in 1978 with a B.A. and joined the National Security Agency in 1979. In 1981, she joined the National Computer Security Center as a member of the technical staff. Then, in 1987 Ms. Henning joined the Harris Corporation as an Advanced Programs engineer.
Over her career, she worked on several critical infrastructure systems, including the FAA’s National Airspace System. She was named a Harris Fellow in 2019, only the second woman so honored. She received eight U.S. Patents related to cyber security and artificial intelligence.
Her advanced degrees include:

1990: M.B.A., Florida Institute of Technology
2013: Ph.D., Nova Southeastern University
Ms. Henning holds several industry certifications, including the CISSP and CISM. She is a frequent conference, journal, and technical standards contributor. She is a founding member of Women in Cyber Security (WiCYS).
In 1982, Ronda married Steven E. Rose of Hobbs, N.M., but was widowed in 2005. She enjoys traveling, horseback riding, gardening and needlepoint.
Kevin Kissel, Brentwood HS Football Coach - 2025 Inductee
A proud 1974 graduate of Brentwood High School, Coach Kevin Kissel first distinguished himself as a standout student-athlete, earning All-WPIAL Class AA honors and being named a Kodak Who’s Who All-American. He continued his football career at the University of Maryland, where he was part of teams that competed in the 1975 Gator Bowl and 1977 Cotton Bowl.
Upon returning home, Coach Kissel began his coaching journey in 1983 as an assistant before earning the Spartans’ head football coach role in 1997, a position he held with pride for 26 seasons. During his tenure, he compiled a 144–123 record, led the Spartans to 16 WPIAL playoff appearances, reached the WPIAL semifinals twice and captured conference championships in 1999, 2002, and 2006. After nearly four decades of dedicated service, Coach Kissel retired following the 2022 football season.
Beyond the wins and championships, Coach Kissel’s greatest legacy is rooted in the generations of young men he helped shape through his leadership, example and unwavering Brentwood pride. He instilled the values of teamwork, discipline, excellence, and work ethic, leaving a lasting impact on Brentwood football and the community.
Forty-five years ago, Kevin married Donna Cleary, also a BHS Class of 1974 graduate. They are blessed with two daughters, Shannon and Megan.
Mary Beth (Hartner) Nobs - 2025 Inductee
Mary Beth is a 1977 graduate of Brentwood High School. During her high school years, she participated in a variety of activities, including cheerleading.
Following high school, Mary Beth built her career in the hotel industry. She is an award-winning sales and marketing executive with 40-plus years of experience, receiving 15 industry awards culminating in a Hall of Fame Award from a leading industry organization.
As the Regional Director of Global Sales for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Marriott Luxury and Senior Director of Global Sales for Hilton, Mary Beth traveled around the world working with clients and hotel sales teams. As a corporate leader at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, she was on the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award-winning team.
The travel industry allowed Mary Beth to serve on boards where she created events for a variety of charities, raising more than $500,000 in donations. Following retirement, she created MBN Performance, a hospitality sales training company.
Mary Beth is married to Dave Nobs, a fellow BHS HOF inductee. They have one son, Nick, who is married and living in Burbank, California.
Deacon Peri Jude Radecic - 2026 Inductee
Peri Jude Radecic is a 1978 graduate of Brentwood High School. She was a Pennsylvania State Champion in the shot put and discus and was coached by George Radosevich.
Deacon Peri Jude graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she was an All-American in the discus. In 1998, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona College of Law and remains a member of the State Bar of Arizona.
She has worked for over three decades in civil rights, with a focus in the areas of gender, disability, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. She has extensive experience with all functions and branches of government in the development, implementation and judicial review of civil rights laws and regulations.
Peri Jude began working as a community organizer in Montgomery County, Maryland for women and the LGBTQ community in the early 1980’s. She was soon hired by the National Organization for Women (NOW), then by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF). As a civil rights lobbyist for NGLTF, she worked in coalition with members of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the NAACP, the Anti-Defamation League, People for the American Way, and other organizations to pass the federal Hate Crimes Statistics Act, the Fair House Amendments Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In law school, she focused her studies on tribal rights and sovereignty and has utilized that education in her work with the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (Rural Development) and the Arizona Center for Disability Law. Following law school, she drafted changes to the Civil Rights Ordinance and wrote policies to ensure effective implementation of local minority and business development programs for the City of Tucson. As the State Civil Rights Manager for Rural Development, she was responsible for the implementation of federal civil rights laws within the agency as well as with recipients of federal funds.
As the former Executive Director of the Arizona Center for Disability and Disability Rights Pennsylvania, she led talented staff to ensure persons with disabilities utilize federal and state laws to maximize independence and achieve equality.
She was ordained a deacon in 2025 and is assigned to serve the Cathedral Parish of St. Sebastian in Steelton, Pennsylvania by the Affirming Catholic Church of Christ.
Deacon Peri Jude lives in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania with her wife Donna Geist, who is also a deacon. Her brother, Scott Radecic '80, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001.
Circle of Excellence Award
Anthony D. Chiappetta
Anthony D. Chiappetta served the students, families, and staff of the Brentwood Borough School District for nearly 26 years. He held the positions of Vice Principal, Principal and Superintendent between January 1976 through December 2001.
Mr. Chiappetta completed his bachelor’s degree at Duquesne University. Then, he completed his master’s degree and additional post graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh.
Tony and Joyce, his beloved bride of 60 years, have four children: Mike, Katy, Tony, and Tim. They are also blessed with 11 grandchildren.
Gary Cramer
Gary Cramer was born and raised in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, where he led his high school class as President. He excelled as a standout three-sport athlete in basketball, baseball and football, leading the Big Eight Conference in scoring. His success on the football field earned him a scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, where he lettered for four years.
Immediately after graduating from Pitt with a master’s degree in Education, Gary devoted more than 30 years of his professional life to the Brentwood Borough School District as a physical education/health teacher and a coach, serving students from kindergarten to 12th grade. He continued to share his love of athletics as a coach in football, track, golf, baseball, and basketball. Throughout his career, Gary took great pride in helping young people develop not only as athletes but as students and individuals. He found great fulfillment in seeing student-athletes excel academically and athletically, with many earning opportunities to compete at collegiate and professional levels. His accomplishments and contributions to young people have previously been recognized with inductions into the Belle Vernon Area Hall of Fame and the Mid-Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame.
Gary has been married for 57 years to Sheryl. They are the proud parents of twin sons, Matthew and Michael and the grandparents of nine grandchildren. Gary considers his family his greatest blessing.
Spirit of Community Award
Jeff Healy
Jeff has been a resident of Brentwood for more than 50 years, attending kindergarten at Elroy Elementary and graduating from Brentwood High School in 1981. He resides in the borough with his wife, Karen, and is the proud father of three daughters: Lauren ‘11, Victoria ‘13, and Olivia ‘14, all of whom were senior class presidents during their time at Brentwood High School.
Frequently spotted with a camera around his neck, Jeff is an active photographer for Brentwood sports, taking photos at numerous Spartan sporting events. His photography of sports and activities have also been included in the South Hills Record and the Brentwood Anthem Yearbook.
Jeff was an active member of the PTA while his daughters were enrolled in the school district, serving as Vice President and then President. He helped with book fairs, the Reflections contest, and the spring festival. Jeff also spent time volunteering at the school store. He credits all the women who served with him and cherishes his time interacting with the students.
As part of the Brentwood Athletic Association, Jeff coached T-ball and softball for nearly 10 years, including coaching his daughters. He is especially proud of the fact that his athletes continued to invite him to their graduation parties, often years after he coached them.
When not at community events, Jeff enjoys watching the Pirates and can be seen out walking “The Healy Goldens,” his family’s golden retrievers. He is also a SAG AFTRA background actor and stand-in. He has over 40 shows, movies, and commercials to his credit, and was most recently involved in the series, “Mayor of Kingstown.”
